About the event
Inanna is a Sumerian goddess. One of the earliest deities and one of the seven divine powers that became the basis for Gods and Goddesses in many ancient civilizations. She was behind the deities known as Ishtar, Sauska, Astarte, Aphrodite, Venus, as well as many other names. Her names were as numerous as the paradoxes she was a symbol for, such as being a goddess of love as much as she was a goddess of war. At times impulsive and at other times calculating, people worshiped her because of the contradictions within her that they could relate to. In her struggle to mature and grow, she showed how feminine energy can create, love, destroy, and enact justice. Just as Inanna couldn’t be confined to a single trait, identity, or label, those that followed her couldn’t either. Her priest/priestesses were independent, often non-binary, and always striving to obtain more than what they were given in life.
Join the Inanna Project for a four part series taking place: 1/4, 2/1, 3/1 and 4/5 at 7:00-8:00 pm Pacific Time/ 8:00-9:00pm Mountain Time for an hour long session by zoom. Through readings, mindfulness exercises, and group discussions we will foster a supportive environment for connecting with our feminine energy in our quest to grow through creating, being intimate, and fighting to have more and to be more, all while exploring and living beyond labels, singular identities, or static ways of being,.. and doing it unapologetically.
